Site categories

A site category groups sites that share a price and capacity, such as Powered Site, Cabin or Glamping. The category sets the price; each site belongs to one category.

Add a category

  1. Go to Settings > Site Categories and select Add.
  2. Fill in the fields below and select Save.

Site category fields

  • Category Name: required.
  • Stay: Short Term (guests can book online, priced per night) or Long Term (booked through your office, priced per week).
  • Description: optional.
  • Adult Guests Included and Adult Guests Max Capacity (short term): the nightly price covers the included adults; up to the maximum can stay. Included cannot be more than the maximum. Extra adults are charged at your extra adult price.
  • Base Price Per Night (short term): required. This is the off-peak price.
  • Peak Price Per Night (short term): used on dates inside a peak period. If it is empty or zero, the base price is used.
  • Weekly Price: the price for seven nights in a row outside peak periods. Set it lower than seven nights at the base price to offer a weekly discount.
  • Weekly Rent (long term): the rent for each week. Long-term categories have no peak pricing and no guest fees.

Category price rules

  • A peak price always wins over the weekly price. The weekly price applies only to seven nights in a row that are all outside peak periods.
  • KissBook works out every price from these settings. Change a price here and new bookings use it.

Edit or delete a category

  • Select Edit beside a category, change the fields and select Save Category.
  • You can delete a category only when no sites use it and none of its sites has a booking. Otherwise KissBook lists the sites in the way, so you can move or delete them first.
