The booking page

The booking page shows everything about one booking and holds the buttons you use to run it. Open it from the Calendar, the Bookings list or a guest’s profile.

What the booking page shows

  • The booking number and status at the top.
  • Nights and site: the stay length, site and dates. Select it for a price breakdown, night by night. The check-in and check-out dates are links to change them. See Changing dates.
  • Guest: the guest’s name links to their profile, with the number of adults and kids. With no guest yet, a search box lets you find or register one.
  • Extras, total, payments and amount owing, with the payment button. See Taking payment on a booking.
  • Booking Log: a running history of the booking, with emails, texts and payments. Add your own note in the box.

Booking page buttons

  • Check In: records the guest’s arrival. It shows “Office Checked In” or “Guest Checked In” afterwards. If the guest checked themselves in, you can overwrite it. Not available on long-term bookings, and it needs a guest on the booking.
  • Email and SMS: message the guest. See Emailing a guest and Sending SMS. Hidden until a guest is on the booking.
  • Lock Site: stops this booking being moved to another site. Select again to unlock. Not shown for long-term bookings. See Moving a booking.
  • Extras and Guests: see Booking extras and Guests on a booking.
  • Pay Link: copies a link the guest can use to pay.
  • Cancel: see Cancelling a booking.

Removing the guest from a booking

  • A cross beside the guest’s name removes them from the booking, but only while nothing has gone out: no payment, no email or text to the guest, and no check-in. After that a padlock appears and tells you why.

Long-term bookings

  • A long-term booking shows its payment history for each billing cycle instead of nights. Short-term features such as check-in, guests and the site lock are hidden.
