Cancelling frees the site on the calendar. Cancelling does not refund the guest, and it does not remove the booking fee.
Cancel a booking
- Open the booking page.
- Select Cancel and confirm.
- The booking becomes Cancelled and a line is added to its log.
What cancelling does and does not do
- Refunds: KissBook does not refund the guest when you cancel. If the guest paid, refund them under your own cancellation policy. See Payments and refunds.
- Booking fee: the booking fee of $3.00 stays owing, whatever the status. It is not refunded when a guest cancels or changes a booking.
- No Cancel button afterwards: the button disappears once a booking is cancelled. If the guest still wants to stay, make a new booking and check the site is free.
- Late card payment: if a guest pays online after the booking was cancelled, KissBook does not bring the booking back, because the site may have been rebooked. It emails your park so you can sort it out or refund the guest.
- Tell the guest: use email or SMS.
- Cancelled bookings stay in the Bookings list. Go to Bookings and tick Cancelled to show them.
When a guest cancels a booking
- A guest can cancel only a booking that has not been paid. Once money is on a booking, the guest sees a note to contact your park, with your phone number and email.
- Unpaid bookings that are not completed are cancelled automatically after a short time.
See Booking fees for the full fee rules.
