Calendar sync

Calendar sync stops a site being double-booked when you also sell it on another website such as Booking.com or Airbnb. KissBook gives you a private calendar link for the site. The other website reads it and closes the dates that are booked in KissBook.

Set up calendar sync

  1. Go to Sites, choose the site and scroll to Calendar sync.
  2. Under Connect a booking website, choose Booking.com, Airbnb, Hipcamp, Stayz or Other, then select Connect.
  3. Select Copy link.
  4. In the other website, paste the link into its calendar import (iCal) setting. KissBook shows the steps for each website beside its link.

Do this once for each site and website. The link belongs to that one site.

What the other website sees

  • Only that the dates are not available. It never sees guest names, booking details or notes.
  • Dates that are held by a booking, including blocked dates and a booking waiting for payment, for about the next 18 months.
  • The link is private. Anyone who has it can see your busy dates, so paste it only into the website you chose. If it gets out, remove the connection and connect again to get a new link.

Calendar sync limits and rules

  • Sync goes one way for now. Bookings made on the other website are not copied into KissBook, so add them to KissBook by hand to block the dates here. Go to Bookings.
  • Each website checks the link on its own schedule, so a new booking in KissBook can take some time to close the dates there.
  • Only the park owner or a manager can connect or remove a website. Other team members can see the connections.
  • Removing a connection stops its link working. Also remove KissBook’s calendar from the other website.
  • Calendar sync is for short-term sites that are Active. For a long-term site or a closed site, the page says what to change. It is not available for demo parks.
