Taking payment on a booking

The checkout section on the booking page shows what the booking costs, what has been paid and what is still owing. From it you take payment, or send the guest a link to pay.

What the booking checkout shows

  • Nights: price per night, with peak nights marked. Select it to expand.
  • Guests and Extras: any charges for extra adults or extras.
  • Total, payments received and amount owing. The amount owing is the figure the guest is charged online, so both always agree.

Take payment on a booking

  1. Make sure the booking has a guest. The pay button is hidden until it does. See Registering a guest.
  2. Choose how the guest is paying:
    • KissBook (Credit Card): opens the secure card payment page.
    • A custom method such as cash or bank transfer, from your payment methods. Add an optional reference.
  3. Select the pay button, which shows the amount.
  • Once a payment is recorded the booking becomes Confirmed.
  • Card payments need a connected Stripe account. If it is missing, the page asks you to connect one. See Stripe account.

Send a guest a payment link

  • Select Pay Link to copy a link. The guest opens it and pays by card without logging in. It needs a guest on the booking.
  • For long-term bookings the link pays the current billing cycle.

Booking fee on payments

  • The booking fee of $3.00 is added to card payments. For custom methods it is invoiced to your park. See Booking fees.
  • Long-term bookings are charged one cycle at a time, and the fee applies to each cycle payment.
